Mas Matthew Howell Mas Matt Dougherty Merpati Putih USA was founded by brothers Nathan and Mike Zeleznick. They have been tested and Certified by the 11th and 12th Generation Pewaris (Royal Heir’s) as well as the Merpati Putih Master Council to train the peoples of North and South America and share these very unique and special arts. Merpati Putih USA was originally started with the sole purpose of helping the visually-impaired live more empowered lives through the use of the Vibravision discipline but has expanded to the Martial Arts and Health and Fitness arts as well to help enrich the lives of everyone who feels the need to defeat their personal limitations, to start living their dreams and to expand their perceptions and abilities beyond the Physical and into the Mental, Spiritual, and Metaphysical Realms. Nathan and Mike Zeleznick are the first Americans ever granted permission to be formally trained in MP. They began in late 1999, guided under the expert instruction of Dr. Heru Hendarto, an ear/nose/throat surgeon and senior member of MP. Dr. Heru is a former MP trainer of the Indonesian Special Forces and the only qualified instructor within 2,000 miles of Ogden. As Luck/Fate would have it, he just happened to live about 50 miles away in Salt Lake City while pursuing his Masters degree in speech language pathology at the University of Utah. In Early October of 2000, Mas Poeng and Mas Budi (the Great Teachers of MP) and Suprapto Purwidjayanto, known as Mas Tok (the Chief Instructor of MP) personally promoted Nathan and Mike to the Junior Instructor level and inaugurated the first ever American school of MP. Since opening in January 2001, MP USA has grown and prospered, helping nearly 300 men and women improve every aspect of their lives in some way with MP training. Many Senior Instructors from Indonesia have visited MP USA to enhance curriculum, train students and maintain the highest quality in MP USA’s instructors and students. Plans are in way to bring many more Instructors from Indonesia in the near future as well. In May of 2005, Nathan and Mike made the Journey to Java, Indonesia for 1 month to test, demonstrate and study. During this trip they were Officially tested by Mas Poeng, all the Master Teachers (Dewan Guru), and the entire Master Council of MP in Parang Kusumo near Yogkyakarta in central Java, the Historic Birthplace of MP. They passed all tests and initiations and are now Certified Senior Instructors of Merpati Putih Martial Arts and Kebugaran Wealth of Health Programs. 1 week into their trip they were joined by their 11 person MP ‘Indonesia-Bound’ demonstration team and during the following week were able to demonstrate at the PERSILAT World Grand Final held at the Padepokan IPSI in Jakarta, then the National Air Force Base in Yogyakarta, and finally in Padepokan MP in Bali. During their stay in Yogya, all 11 demo team members passed an official MP initiation and were inaugurated as true members of MP Indonesia. Returning to the U.S. MP USA is now opening training for the Wealth of Health program, developing the humanitarian Vibravision program and looking to create it’s own National Headquarters with a 10,000 square foot facility and private training ground. In February 2007 Mike, Nate and a team comprised of the senior-most MP instructors in America journeyed to Indonesia once again for Testing and attendance of MP TRADISI (Annual Traditional Festival). It was a wonderful trip filled with excitement, adventure and continued education in the methods and training principles of Merpati Putih.
